Why: More for melee (Expert and up). A dash into a pack or a perfect block makes the pack turn on you for 4 s. Hitting builds Grit, a thin amber edge on your health that takes blows first. Your hits can call off an attack that is winding up. Shields keep a single hit under 40% of your health while you are above half and hold a melee weapon (Stalwart). In a headset, Easy swing (on by default) swings toward where you point while you hold the trigger.
