What is Starlight Wardens?
A co-op action game built as a VRChat world. Parties fight waves of monsters across eight fantasy lands, with bosses, weapons, shields, gear and relics to collect, a career to climb, and the Starforge, a forge run on currency earned by playing.
How do I play it?
You need VRChat, which is free. Open Starlight Wardens' world page on VRChat and launch it, or search for Starlight Wardens in VRChat's own world menu. It is free to play.
Which devices does it run on?
PC in VR, which is the main way to play, PC on desktop with mouse and keyboard, and Quest. PC and Quest players share the same instances.
Can I play with friends, or alone?
Both. Everyone in the instance who is ready joins the run when the rift opens, and the monsters grow in number with the party. A run alone works the same way.
Is it finished? Will my progress be reset?
This world is unfinished and still changing. Progress is reset once, when the full game is released. You keep a title that says you were here.
Do I have to pay for anything?
No. Everything that makes you stronger is earned by playing, and the Starforge runs on stardust you earn. The optional Starlight Wardens Supporter, bought in the world with VRChat Credits, adds a bonus to the gold, experience and Starsteel of everyone in your run, and leaves a trail of light petals at your feet.
Which languages does it speak?
English, Simplified Chinese and Japanese. Choose at the arrival in Haven, on the Settings board or in your menu; VRChat's own language picks one for you on your first visit.
Where do I report a bug or find a party?
On the Starlight Wardens Discord: it has channels in English, Chinese and Japanese, and a bug-report forum. The invite is on this site and on the sign at the Rift Gate.
What does the world send about me?
During the beta, once you accept on the welcome panel, your VRChat name and records of your progress and play in this game, to improve the game and to find cheating. Never a player ID or your address. The full statement, and how to have it deleted, is on the About & data page.
Why is starlightwardens.com on a sign in the world?
It is the game's home on the web. The Discord is one tap away from every page, and starlightwardens.com/discord goes straight to the invite.
